Three Key C 350e Upgrades You Can't Order from Mercedes-Benz Dealers Anymore

The thing is, went out of production in 2018. So, you can't buy one new at a Mercedes-Benz dealer anymore. You can't option things offered then either, like in-car Wi-Fi, a larger 8.4-inch infotainment display, or heated and ventilated leather seats. You can't even go for a package deal, like the Air Balance Package with the fragrance diffuser or the Driver Assist Package with adaptive cruise control and other tech.

1. Engine

The Mercedes-Benz C 350e came standard in 2018 with a turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor, and it was capable of a combined 275 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. Even with that kind of drive, hybrid sedans aren't well-known for being thrill-rides, particularly -- even those with turbochargers. Add a few more horses, though, and you can prove the old adage wrong.

To do that, mod the exhaust, for one; it'll relieve backpressure. Second, put in a cold air intake; you'll get better-quality air for combustion. Third, add a performance air filter; it'll do a much better job of keeping particulate out of the process.

2. Wheels

Two, stick with slotted, drilled (cross-drilled), or drilled & slotted brake rotors; if you're going the sports car direction, they're designed accordingly. Third, select ceramic, metallic/semi-metallic, or carbon-fiber brake pads; they'll provide exceptional stopping power over everyday organic.
