Don't Let These Common Mercedes-Benz C 320 Problems Ruin Your Ride

Your C 320 was the Mercedes-Benz sedan to be driving in the early 2000s if you preferred the ideal balance of comfortable, upscale, and fun-to-drive. 1. Defective Climate Control System

If you hear clicking coming from behind the center of the dash in your C 320, the problem's usually a stepper motor actuating arm; there's a good chance it's broken. This is a known issue for models from between 2001 and 2005 with 249,000 miles or fewer. You'll have to take the center console apart to replace the broken arm, and then reassemble it.

2. Faulty Power Seats

If the battery in your C 320 is dead, and you've ruled out other problems like a bad alternator, then most likely, it's because of a bad seat control module or two. This is a known issue for models from between '01 and '05 with 92,000 miles or fewer. You'll have to replace the problematic module(s).

3. Bad Crankshaft Position Sensor

If the engine in your C 320 starts and stalls, or if it won't start at all, then there's a good chance it's because of a faulty crankshaft position sensor. This is a known issue for 2001-2005 models with 104,000 miles or fewer. The sensor will need to be replaced.
